Time Warp Pinball – Williams 1979

$2,990.00$8,990.00 CAD

Description

Time Warp pinball produced by Williams in 1979.

This shipped from the factory with the weird “Banana Flippers”. I remember playing this in my teens, but always walked away due to those flippers.

A early Barry Oursler design.

Two asking prices on this pin.

The lowest is for purchasing it in “As-Is” condition, and doing your own restoration/rebuild.

The highest asking price is based on the pin being refurbished to “High End Player Quality” condition.

The photos in the gallery, at present, show the pin in it’s current condition.

Major work that will be done on this unit as follows:

As described in the “Restoration Process” on this site; this pin will receive two of the three steps. Those being a complete board-set, and playfield restoration.

The cabinet, except for a few paint touch-ups, will be left as is. If this is the PIN FOR YOU, and you want a full Cabinet restoration, it can be done, just be aware the asking price offered here does not include such work.

All the metal will be sandblasted, and powder coated, I’m thinking gloss white, but if your ordering the pin, choose your own color.

The playfield will be stripped bare and rebuilt, as I don’t think a new one will ever be produced for this title. Any old yellowed, and scratched Mylar will be removed. The playfield will receive a complete scrub down, but there is a existing crazing that will be difficult to restore. A few paint touch-ups to complete (see facebook link for past jobs) then 4 layers of 2-part automotive clear coat to seal it forever.

All the electronics will be updated, and many old connectors, and capacitors changed, so the unit is reliable.

All playfield metal posts, and such, will be polished in a tumbler with a special medium, for over 1 week, and the result is they will look new.

All playfield mechanical components will be disassembled, cleaned, and rebuilt to original specifications.

All #47 & #555 bulbs will be changed to color matching 2-SMD frosted, high intensity Comet brand. All back box bulbs will usually be cool AKA natural white. Likewise, most all playfield General Illumination (GI) will also be Cool White. Unlike Warm White, which has a red hue, cool white is pure white, and will illuminate the playfield much better.

The existing backglass will be replaced with a new aftermarket reproduction.

The original player displays look good, if they function well once power train is rebuilt, they will remain. If not they will be changed out to the new LED displays, which will increase the cost somewhat.

The flipper assemblies will be changed out to the newer Williams version. Banana flippers will be changed to regular style bats, but I will include a set of the originals, if you choose to change it back.

Notable Features: Flippers (2), Pop bumpers (5), Slingshots (2), Kick-out holes (2), Stand-up targets (2), 5-bank drop targets (1), 3-bank drop targets (1).

Production: 8,875 units
